A day at Lucky Peak

This weekend we went to Lucky Peak Reservoir with some friends, Russ and Noelle, and we "swam" at sandy point- a pond just on the other side of the dam. It wasn't really swimming because I only got in up to my knees because the water was freezing! But the weather was beautiful, nice and HOT, just the way I like it. Sandy point is a fun place to lay out and have a pic-nic, but as Russ put it "the vibe is a little more white trash than at American Falls reservoir". There's plenty to see and observe in wonderment that's for sure, but that won't keep me from frequenting the "sandy" beaches of Lucky Peak.

Yep we're pretty pale....we definitely need a few more days in the sun!

Hobbies

So Stephen told me that I needed a hobby because his is ESPN and I didn't really have anything I liked to spend my free time doing.....so I have a new hobby~ jewelery making, and I LOVE it! So I wanted to show off some of the things I've made so far.

The one above is the first piece I made, the pendant is what really makes it beautiful and I didn't make that.....but I picked it out so that counts for something. Then I made the one below, the light looks bad in this pic, but oh well.

Then these next ones are my most recent creations~ mother's day presents, the light doesn't do them justice I just want you to know. I just love pink and turquoise together and I hope my mom does too!

Congrats!

Stephen just found out that he recieved the Graduate Assistantship for Fall Semester! For all of you who are wondering what that means it's like recieving a scholarship for graduate school and you work in the accounting lab, so he gets his tuition payed for and money on top of that! We're so excited for him....and maybe I won't have to work so hard now....hahah. Way to go Stevo!

Go Broncos!

Just hanging around

It's been a while since I've posted anything, but we're not up to much around here. Nikki, Spencer and Kelan came for a visit this past weekend, just driving through on their way to Cali. We went out to eat at this really good southern restaurant called Soul Food...definitely be heading back for more ribs and hush puppies! The weather was beautiful so we spent Sunday afternoon taking a nap at the park and watching the beach bod club play volleyball....very exclusive membership= must tan daily and have ginormous disgusting muscles. Of course we had to get in some softball practice while the twins were together so I got to run around in the outfield chasing after fly-balls. Can you believe I didn't take any pictures while they were here, hopefully Nikki will post some on her blog so check it out. That's all for now, we're still enjoying Boise and all it has to offer, give us a shout if you're ever in the area.

Birthday cake and Egg hunts

This past weekend in Eastern Idaho was very eventful.....we celebrated Kelan's first birthday with a beautiful basketball cake created by Nikki and Ansley! He was a little confused about what to do with it.....
Then we all went out to eat some yummy Mexican food in downtown B-tizzle and then get our bowling on, Nikki actually beat me....for the first and last time! and ofcourse Stephen and Spencer were utterly annoyed by all the picture taking, sorry guys! (but just get used to it)

Kelan was not a big fan of the sombrero and strangers singing to him.

Pictures can be fun.....but try telling them that!

So the easter egg hunt got a little out of control this year, as usual, but nothing was broken (just knocked off the walls...sorry Robyn!) The big winner was Stephen with 69 eggs! Ansley forgot to listen to the rules so she got disqualified with her 80 eggs, better luck next year! But it's all in good fun, it just goes to show that you're never too old for a good old fashioned egg hunt!

hanging out in the Berg

This is the beautiful Rexburg temple.........of course the wind is always out of control!

So we're over in Rexburg right now hanging out with the Anderson clan. Stephen's older brother spoke today at the business summit up on campus and he did an amazing job, that guy is really going places. We got to hang out with Kelan ALL day and I'm loving it! ...... I'm really excited for Easter and the Big Hunt! I have to teach Nikki how to create a blog so I'll update you on our fun weekend in a few days!

"Who did we marry?"

So we went over to Brett and Melissa's last night for dinner and some serious hang out time. The night started out like any other night.... Melissa showed me how to make easy and delicious home-made pizzas, we watched basketball, then the boys played some Halo, then we broke out the Mexi-train........and that's when things started to get out of hand.....

I'm not sure who's crazy idea it was but the boys were itching to wear Melissa's J-lo suits, and who are we to stop them!! We were rolling on the floor laughing at those two crazy boys....I think they enjoyed it a little too much.

I MISS KELAN!

I miss Kelan, and Nikki!!......ok and Spencer a little bit too! Look at this cute little guy, he's my absolute favorite!

Home on the range

Stevo and Bretto trying to be golf pros

Out for Sushi with the Pierce's for Brett's b-day!

This weekend we had fun with Brett and Melissa celebrating his b-day at the golf range and then going out for Sushi...yum yum...we couldn't figure out who our server was because they all looked the same! We played some Mexi train and Skip-Bo, and ate some delicious cake, thanks Melissa, and the boys got all hopped up on Mt.Dew. We swapped stories and laughed at our perverted husbands.....they feel like family, we love those two! Always a good time to be had by all.

Stephen all hopped up on Mt.Dew!

Good Times

We've been having tons of fun here in Boise! We recently had more visitors...Carlos and Nat stayed with us about a week ago and we had a blast as usual with those two....we ate some fabulous chinese buffet...puke...and we played guitar hero until the wee hours of the night- melting faces!

This past week we went to the last home game of Broncos basketball, it was a packed house and everyone was wearing orange...except me! They lost to Utah, but it was an intense game- fans on their feet the entire time....except me. It was fun but I'm kind of glad that basketball season is over for now.
