"Mom....I'm Pregnant!!"

We have been in North Carolina visiting my parents and the last few days have been a blast! We broke the news to them about thier grand-baby and mom was exstatic, dad was happy too! We feel like we're staying at an all inclusive resort...we got our hair and nails done and we've seen a show and been to a baseball game and the zoo, we are having so much fun and the party has only begun! We've still got a week and a half full of fun activities and trips....

Mom really wanted me to point at my stomach so I finally gave in.

Mom and dad took us to "The Barn", a diner buffet followed by a musical review of mo-town songs. It was an absolute riot, we were definitely the minority and sitting in the front row we stuck out like sore thumbs, but mom made her way on stage and got down with her bad self (I was really mad that they wouldn't let us take pictures during the show).

We really liked this guys plaid suit we just had to find out where he got it so we could pick one up for Stephen.

Carolina buffet...only one thumb up.

These next pics are at the Natural Science Center which is partly a zoo.

Happy Birthday Stephen!

Stephen LOVES the Ribs at Texas Roadhouse so we went there for his birthday dinner with Russ and Noelle and Garrett and Audree.
Then we went to Boondocks for some miniature golf, this is his new birthday outfit and flip-flops!

I surprised him with Collective Soul tickets for when we're in North Carolina....can't you see the excitement on his face.

We had some friends over to help us eat our German Chocolate cheese-cake filled birthday cake, it was delicious if I do say so myself.

Happy 25th Birthday bud!

California......knows how to party

This is the fam at Santa Cruz beach soaking up some sun

Happy 4th of July!

This picture really has nothing to do with 4th of July festivities, but I just think these telephone booths at our apartment complex are cute and they remind me of England.

This was one of my favorite roses from the Julia Davis rose garden that we walked through after our breakfast in the park.

Our 4th started out with a picnic in the park, pancakes and sausage mmm good. Then we went for a walk through the rose garden and around the park. That afternoon we floated down the Boise River in a four man raft from Walmart, I wish I had taken some pictures becuase that was a sight to behold. I was really slacking on my picture taking for the rest of the day, we went to Old Chicago's and had pizza for dinner and then we watched the amazing Boise Parade, pretty lame, and then we took a nap before the fireworks show across the street. We had a great weekend with Robert and Robyn, shopping, sushi, baseball game, we're so glad they came for a visit!

Camping

This post is a little late, but we've been having a great time camping every other weekend with Noelle and Russ. You can't beat tin foil dinners and s'mores! It's so nice to get away and just hang out, sit back and relax and watch the boys obsess over building the perfect fire. Can't wait to go again soon!

Memorial Weekend

Our Memorial weekend was really fun, thanks to TJ, Ansley, and Merilee coming over to visit! We had a long itinerary set up for a fun filled weekend of activities. Saturday started with a walk down to the BODO Farmer's Market. These pictures were taken on the bridge over Capital Blvd on our walk to downtown.
After the market samplings of salsa, cinnamon pecans, and other sorts of treats we headed home to create home-made pizzas. After lunch we headed out the Old Idaho Penitentiary and toured the grounds. The weather was perfect, but the sun was BRIGHT- hence all the squinting in this photo.
After that we split up and the boys went to an arena football game and the girls went out to the Nampa Civic Center to see an arousing rendition of "Fame" the musical! It was spectacular spectacular!
If you can't tell from the photo the play was put on by a local charter school, and needless to say we left early. But we had great seats because after all "we did pay $11", right Merilee?
Sunday afternoon we strolled around Ann Morrison Park and fed the ducks, then went home and played some games and ate way too much popcorn, thanks TJ!
To the dismay of the boys, on Monday we went to the mall and spent about 2 hours in Sephora putting on our make-up. We even had one of the workers do my eyeshadow for me so we could learn some new techniques. She gave us some great tips, but I think she forgot it was 1 o'clock in the afternoon and I wasn't headed out to a club. It was really fun though. Thanks for coming to see us we had a blast!

A day at Lucky Peak

This weekend we went to Lucky Peak Reservoir with some friends, Russ and Noelle, and we "swam" at sandy point- a pond just on the other side of the dam. It wasn't really swimming because I only got in up to my knees because the water was freezing! But the weather was beautiful, nice and HOT, just the way I like it. Sandy point is a fun place to lay out and have a pic-nic, but as Russ put it "the vibe is a little more white trash than at American Falls reservoir". There's plenty to see and observe in wonderment that's for sure, but that won't keep me from frequenting the "sandy" beaches of Lucky Peak.

Yep we're pretty pale....we definitely need a few more days in the sun!

Hobbies

So Stephen told me that I needed a hobby because his is ESPN and I didn't really have anything I liked to spend my free time doing.....so I have a new hobby~ jewelery making, and I LOVE it! So I wanted to show off some of the things I've made so far.

The one above is the first piece I made, the pendant is what really makes it beautiful and I didn't make that.....but I picked it out so that counts for something. Then I made the one below, the light looks bad in this pic, but oh well.

Then these next ones are my most recent creations~ mother's day presents, the light doesn't do them justice I just want you to know. I just love pink and turquoise together and I hope my mom does too!
