Parade for Memorial Day

His favorite part was the candy tossed right to HIM.....he loves suckers, so sticky.

Jersey Shore 2010!

We headed down to the beach, finally, last Friday and it was a blast! Brooks wasn't a big fan of the sand though so he sat with me most of the day, but he did play after a while.
Here's the fun group that came- Shannon, Wendy, Addy, Jen, France, Kaycee, Maile, Larisa, Rachael, and all the corresponding kiddos!

The pool was a big success, although it really just became a wet sand box.

We all headed to Nauvoo to take in ALL the history, I don't think we missed a detail!

Back to Omaha, spending some time at the Botanical Gardens with an amazing train garden-

Pool time

We bought a little pool for Brooks since the weather was going to be really nice for once. Well Stephen had to bring out about 10 pots of HOT water to warm up the frigid hose water just so he would stand in it. This pic is also the only evidence I think I have of Stephen's sweet beard, so glad it's finally gone!

Couldn't get a smile out of him that day...just squints.

Talented cousins

I know these pictures are blurry but I wanted to post them anyway for everyone that was not able to make it to Savanna's fundraising event. It was so fun to hear her sing and everyone that joined her did amazing too!

On our way home from NC we stopped in D.C. to see uncle Billy and Aunt Lex, and we managed to squeeze a few of the major sights in too.

We were looking for Idaho, but we stumbled upon Jersey first so we just went with it. I guess it is the birth-place of our Brooksie Bob (and our Zoey here soon), our poor kids will have to claim it- sorry.

He was in a particularly kissy & huggy mood that night- LOVE IT when I get a tight squeeze and an open mouth kiss!!

He was squeezing me- it makes me grin from ear to ear.

I guess we better start taking our family photos at night.....no squints from Dad or Brooks, yay!
We had so much fun in just a few short hours hanging out with some of our favorite people and I hope we make it back real soon, love you guys!
