Recent Randomness

We visited the Bronx Zoo with some friends recently and with all the animals and exhibits they have the big hit of the day was the bug carousel.
Riding a big grasshopper

trying to fit in at the butterfly house

This was at a random mall in CT.

The local pool...

We don't travel these days without a ball or two in tow.

Brooks LOVES the water even if he nearly drowns 10 times while we're there.

Cheesecake for Zoey

Pineapple-upside-down-cheesecake.....is your mouth watering yet?

Some girls in my ward threw an intimate luncheon shower for me and my friend Larisa, who's due on the same day, at the Cheesecake Factory, mmmmm!

All the gals

The hostess with the mostess- Rachael. She made the diaper cakes and knitted the little orange booties adorning them! Thanks so much for organizing a fun lunch out with the girls!

We are about to bust!

Nate and Alesha's Wedding

We were able to attend Stephen's cousin Alesha's Native American wedding reception out in CT, it was really neat to be a part of and the buffalo meat was delicious too!
This is his standard pose for the camera these days

Good times with Clinton as usual.

Vacationing with Dad

We spent the last week, including the 4th of July, partying with friends at a beach house on the Jersey Shore. I definitely should have taken more pictures than I did....but I got some good ones of Brooks and his daddy spending some much needed quality time together. I know if Brooks could talk in sentences he would say "Dad is my favorite!"....but as they say actions speak LOUDER than words!
This was the view from our front door- the beach is directly across the street!

Brooks LOVES the beach, which is great when you spend 7 days straight there, but not when he likes to walk right out into the water with no fear or concept of drowning.

He is definitely a water baby, he can't get enough swimming.

unless Dad is playing with him and then he's perfectly content on the sand!

and after all that hard work it was time for a nap......

The one and ONLY family pic from this trip....pathetic picture taking on my part, I know.

After a fun-filled week at the beach it was time for some Bravos.
Yep that's us- on the very last row!

but not a bad view none-the-less and we were shaded and catching a cool breeze.

Look at the big grin!
