Hanging with some good friends!

Today I went to see my good friend Martha.....she gave me a great pork loin recipe that I can't wait to try!

This is totally what mine is going to look like, maybe better.

I also hung out with my good friend Kelli, haven't seen her in years and it was fun to catch up.

My friend Marc also stopped by. He showed us some creepy crawlers and told us some fun animal facts- that guy is so smart and man does he love his turtle neck layering.

Martha is really nice, she has some skinny stems, and she loves her some cardigan too!!

We all had a great time....no white wine needed! hah
P.S. You HAVE to watch Martha on WEDNESDAY- OCTOBER 28th and look for us in the front row!!

This is the super-freakin-cute-adorable face that melts my heart everyday....I mean how can anyone be upset when this little guy clings to your leg and looks up at you with these baby brownish greenish eyes, heart=mush. LOVE HIM!

Thanks for the cool brown town suit aunt Nikki and uncle Spence!

Yep, I pulled myself up on this table all by myself. I'm a super smart big boy now.

A work in progress

These were taken in OUR back-yard!
Brooks is 8 months old now, time is just flying by. He is crawling and pulling himself up on everything, and you can't see them in these pictures but he has two bottom teeth and he's working on more.

This is our little kitchen, slightly bigger than our last place, but NO dishwasher- but it's not that bad really.

Brooks' room- also doubles as the guest room.

Picture board I made with my mom- we decorated his room with a cars, trucks, planes theme in blue, green and brown. I couldn't find ANY crib bedding with turquoise in it so I had to scratch that idea.

We snagged this crib for FREE off of Craig'slist- it's a beautiful thing!

Our green bathroom.
Luckily I found some really great towels at HomeGoods that help to modernize the 70's vibe a little.

Our new black and white bedding with green accents. Our bedroom is really big- can't tell from this picture, but it makes our bed look small.

The living room- also doubles as our office and play room. Nothing on the walls yet so it feels a little bare at the moment. But all in all we really love our new place....except for the elephants that live upstairs- but we'll get used to that right?
Hope you'll come visit and see it for yourself!

Moving on

These are just some cute pics I took recently and I wanted to share. Since these were taken he has broken in his two bottom teeth so no more toothless smiles.

In more recent news:
Tonight is the last night in our apartment in Jersey City....we're off to Secaucus. Can't wait to have everyone over for a BBQ in our new backyard!!! pics of the new place coming soon.

Meet me (Cohen) in St. Louie!

Baby Cohen Brody
Brooks was a little jealous of all his hair, but they're going to be best buds some day....maybe when he grows his own hair.
All the boys with their boys.

Love this chubby grin. People say he looks like me....do I have a square face too?

Brooks and Kelan, best bud cousins....right after this Kelan gave him a big kiss on his bald head, precious moments.

Wait are you my Dad?

It just wouldn't be an Anderson gathering without seeing the Braves play (they basically plan their trips around them)! And thank goodness Stephen finally got to see them WIN a game. All the boys went to the game while the girls took a nice relaxing stroll through the mall, picked up drinks at Sonic and watched a disgustingly sad movie at home.....sorry Nikki.

They enjoy showing up extremely early and watching the seats fill up.....Maybe it gets you pumped up for the game, I have no idea.

The St. Louis Arch- Gateway to the West

Standing inside the arch and the view from the top...

It was a very fun and relaxing weekend, so glad to meet baby Cohen and see everyone else too. After a few teary goodbyes we drove the nearly 16 hour drive back to Jersey, I can't believe the next time we see everyone will be Christmas, where has the year gone? 2009 topping the charts for the best year ever!!

more fun with the g'rents!

Look at me I'm 6 months old now!

We found these super cute boots for Brooks at a second-hand store, boots=$4.00, being twinners with grandpa=priceless!

Sad story= Cody's friend that goes to Duke University was recently mugged and shot while walking home with his girlfriend from grabbing a drink at the corner gas station. He's expected to fully recover and his girlfriend wasn't hurt. (luckily he's a third level black belt, but you wouldn't know if you saw him) So anyway we went to visit him at Duke U Medical Center and then we drove around the campus, drove not walked because it's HUGE. It is a gorgeous campus, sad reason for visiting but I'm glad I got to see it!
Fun at Texas Roadhouse.....mmmmmm, good eats!

This picture is an ode to Lexie!
Fun at the aquarium at the Outer Banks
