Last weekend we headed out to Bray, which is a coastal town about 40 minutes East of our house. It was a very nice beach, apart from the fact that there was no sand. But the kids LOVED throwing endless amounts of rocks into the ocean.
We decided to be a bit adventurous and hike this hill. Can you see the Cross at the top??? Well you're soon going to get a close up...
Lovely family photo- grumpy faces, squinty eyes, and frazzled hair.
Our road trip adventure buddies, Aprih and Jesse.
Beautiful scenery as we start our ascent.
Seems like smooth sailing ahead...
Until we realize we are hiking up a muddy landslide.
The kids were having fun on their first true hike to date.
Gorgeous views!
It was a bit treacherous, cold then hot, muddy then rocky, and we weren't quite sure at times WHERE the trail even was, sheeesh.
but we MADE IT!
Brooks said he could "see the whole world from up here".
It was EXTREMELY windy, my heart was racing worrying that one of my fragile tiny children was going to fly right off the side of this cliff. "Hurry and take the pic so we can get DOWN" was all I was thinking.
Safely back on flat earth after Brooks decided to slide his way down the mountain through the mud. If you know this kid well then you'll know that he HATES to be dirty, there were a lot of tears.
But all in all a great adventure!
